SOUTHERN SMOTHERED PORK CHOPS

DIRECTIONS:

  • Season pork chopson both sides with the poultry seasoning, salt, and pepper. (Make sure that pork chops are dry).
  • Heat the KochCookware Cast Iron Skillet over Medium heat and add  olive oil. When the oil is hot; fry the pork chops, until they turn golden brown (3-4 minutes will be enough for a side).
  • Pour off the excess oil and place the pan back on the stove over medium heat. Add the butter and the onions and salt
  • Sauté for about 10 minutes, or until the onions are well-browned. The onions need to caramelizefor the best results.
  • Stir in the garlic and cook for half minute.
  • Stir in the flour and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Add the chicken broth, buttermilk, and water. As the mixture comes to a simmer
  • Let the onion gravy gently simmer for 15 minutes. Add a splash of water if it seems to be getting too thick.​
  • Add the pork chops and any juices back into the pan and coat with the gravy. Cook for about 10 to 15 minutes until the internal temperature of the pork reaches 145F.
  • Serve over rice and garnish with parsley if you desire.

  • 4 large pork chops 1 to 1 1/2-inches thick.
  • Salt & Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup water

STUFFED PEPPERS

Another easy to make , yet delicious recipe for you.Making it on the cast iron skillet adds lots of flavor too.

You can taste the difference by making yourselves

Just follow the simple steps : 

 

INGREDIENTS:

  • Peppers               6 Large (Preferred)
  • Ground Beef       1 Lb
  • Onion                   1 Med. (Chopped)
  • Tomatoes            1 Can  (16 oz. Diced)
  • Rice                      ½ Cup (Long Grain)
  • Cheese                 1 Cup
  • Garlic                   2 Cloves (Minced)
  • Parsley                 1 Tbsp (Minced)
  • Allspice                1 Teespoon
  • Salt                       1 Teespoon
  • Pepper                 ½ Teespoon

DIRECTIONS:

  • Preheat the KochCookware Skillet
  • Cut the tops off of the peppers (save it to use as lid or you can use tomatoes / tomatoes sauce), and remove seeds.
  • Cook ground beef, onion and garlic till meat is Brown.
  • Stir in tomatoes and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add rice and cook 2-3 minutes more in the skillet.
  • Take the mixture in a bowl, and stir parsley, cheese, allspice, salt and pepper. Let the mixture chill before stuffing in peppers.
  • Preheat the oven at 375 degrees.
  • Stuff the peppers with mixture and place them on Skillet.
  • Bake in preheated oven at 375 degrees for 40minutes

CHICKEN POT PIE

We all love chicken pot pie, right? It is really delicious dish combination of chicken and veggies within rich and creamy gravy and golden crust on top.

Most of the the times we eat boxed/frozen ones, and they taste pretty good.However, making it homemade with fresh ingredients, cooking with  cast iron skillet and keeping all the flavor in, just leads this dish to become a heavenly delicacy.

This dish is easy to make, yet it is quite tasty.

Just follow the simple steps :  

INGREDIENTS:

  • Chicken               2 Cups (Cooked and Shredded Meat)
  • Broth                   1 ½ Cups (Chicken)
  • Butter                  2 Tbsp
  • Potatoes             1 Med.  (Peeled and Cut 1” Pcs.)
  • Carrots                1 Large  (Cut 1” Pcs.)
  • Onion                  1 Med.
  • Broccoli               1 Cup (Cooked/Boiled)
  • Peas                     1 Cup (Cooked)
  • Garlic                  2 Cloves (Minced)
  • Flour                   3 Tbsp  (All purpose)
  • Heavy Cream     1/3 Cup
  • Pie Pastrie          7-8 oz
  • Egg                       1 Med.
  • Parsley                 1 Tbsp (Minced)
  • Salt                       1/2 Teespoon
  • Pepper                 1 Pinch

DIRECTIONS:

  • Preheat the KochCookware Skillet
  • Add butter, potatoes,carrots, onions,and garlic; saute until tender.Add flour and mix it.
  • Add broth bit by bit.Bring to a boil. Stir and cook until thickened.
  • Stir in chicken, broccoli, peas, parsley , salt and pepper.
  • Roll out the pastry and place to KochCookware Skillett’s top, seal and flute edges.
  • Brust the top of pie with mixed egg and pierce it to vent
  • Bake in preheated oven at 375 degrees for 30 minutes or until the top is golden.
  • Let it rest for 18-20 minutes before serving.
